John has developed and run two successful businesses of his own, one in market research, the other in business development. John has over 40 years of first-hand knowledge and experience gained both as a marketing and development manager with two major multi-national companies and in his own two businesses.
John is particularly interested in mentoring younger individuals who want to challenge themselves and the norm. He uses innovative and dialectic thinking, as well as well-founded positive profiling techniques, to achieve great results. John is a real evangelist for creative thinking in personal and business development.
Affectionately nicknamed “Uncle John”, he’s currently writing his book “You can’t be everybody’s friend”. The book outlines the philosophies behind why culture and cultural fit are so important in developing business and people.
John is on the Board of Northern Soho and he has been instrumental in the initial launch and development of the NorthernSoho MentorMatch scheme.
